A private guide is not an audio guide made flesh: it is someone who adapts the day to your wishes, knows the stallholder who slices the best ham and when the light is loveliest on the Gibralfaro. That is the accompaniment I offer in Málaga and across the region.
A day in Málaga, at your pace
We start wherever you like: the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro for the view, the Picasso Museum or Centre Pompidou for art, Atarazanas market for the taste buds. I tell you the city’s story, spare you the queues and take you to lunch where the Malagueños really go. In the late afternoon, we head to Pedregalejo for sardine espetos by the water.
Would you rather go shopping, explore the Soho street art or visit with children? I build the programme with you, the day before or weeks ahead.
Beyond Málaga: my favourite days out
- The white villages of the Axarquía: Frigiliana, Cómpeta and the Mudéjar hamlets, with a moscatel tasting at a winegrower’s.
- [Ronda](dest:ronda) and its Serranía: the Puente Nuevo, the bullring and a mountain bodega.
- [Granada](dest:granada) and the Alhambra: booked tickets, the Albaicín at sunset, a tapas dinner.
- [Gibraltar](dest:gibraltar): the Rock, the macaques and Europa Point in a day.
- The Caminito del Rey: the vertiginous walkway, with a booked slot and a picnic.
Every outing is done with a driver or with your hire car, as you prefer.
How does it work?
We first talk about your wishes, constraints and pace. I then suggest a detailed programme with the necessary bookings, and I accompany you on the day. Day accompaniment is part of my Horizon collection; the personalised search for outings also exists among my à la carte services.
Your questions, my answers
- Do you speak French, English and Spanish?
- Yes. I accompany you in French or English, and I liaise in Spanish with restaurateurs, craftspeople and winegrowers.
- Is it suitable for families with children?
- Absolutely: I choose short stages, ice-cream breaks and playful visits, such as walking up the río Chíllar or the Benalmádena cable car. See my family holiday guide.
- Do you book the tickets for monuments?
- Yes, it is even essential for the Alhambra, the Caminito del Rey or the Picasso Museum in high season. I take care of it as soon as the programme is confirmed.
